Get ready to dive into the wonderful world of volleyball!

My name is Thalia, but my athletes know me best by “Coach T”.

My origin story starts back in 2013 when I was first introduced to volleyball my freshman year of high school. After playing four years as a starting setter, I was immediately offered an assistant coaching position for my high school team in 2016. Fast forward to 2024, I’m the head coach for two local high school Varsity teams. I have the privilege of coaching the girl’s in the fall, and created the boys team for the spring season!

With close to 10 years of experience in the sport of volleyball I have found my passion for mentoring youth through a sport that continues to inspire, and spread joy for me daily. My main goal as a young female coach is to share my love for volleyball with other passionate mentors/leaders, and that starts with sharing all I’ve learned!

Finding new athletes and aspiring coaches is on the rise, and without the help of others I wouldn’t be at this point in my coaching career. I’m hoping my blog posts can inspire/assist coaches in practice plans, game statistics, team management/leadership, and the important job of mentoring youth. I hope it can can also help aspiring volleyball athletes who are looking for more information through a coach’s perspective.

Coaching is a hard job, and a job that not many people can recognize it’s importance. I’m here to be that buffer, as coaching high school athletes has lasting impacts on impressionable minds… what an important task!
